Background

Naomi A. Schoenfeld is an Associate Professor of Special Education at Rivier University, a certified special educator in New Hampshire, and a dedicated special education parent advocate. She has worked as a special education teacher, a behavior specialist, and other supporting roles in private and public schools.

Dr. Schoenfeld is engaged in current and active topics in education. She holds a SEAT 1.0 Special Education Advocate Certificate from the Council of Parent & Attorney Advocates, LETRs Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling certification from Lexia, and advanced certifications in Intercultural Management and Leadership and Management from the University of Notre Dame.

With extensive experience in both university teaching and special education, Naomi is committed to improving inclusive practices and promoting equitable access for students with disabilities in K-12 education. She is passionate about training the next generation of educators and advocating for children with unique needs.
