Rivier’s Business/MBA 4+1 Program allows you to complete a B.S. in Business in your first four years—fewer if you are a transfer or highly motivated student—and apply for the one-year MBA in your senior year.

To be eligible for the Business/MBA 4+1 Program, you must:

  • Complete your Bachelor of Science degree prior to entering your fifth year
  • Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 before your senior year
  • Submit all required application materials to the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies Admissions within one year of graduating

The curriculum focuses on both quantitative and qualitative skills development and incorporates applications-based learning using new technologies, global perspectives, and ethics-based best practices. Small classes with personal attention from faculty help you develop strong business skills and relationships that can last a lifetime.

The one-year MBA provides advanced knowledge in financial management and addresses marketing and new product development, project management, economic analysis, strategies for innovation, and more. The 4+1 option does not apply to the MBA in Healthcare Administration program. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is offered both online and on campus.

You’ll develop skills in critical thinking and rational decision making, which includes evaluating, synthesizing, and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world situations.

In this program you will:

  • Gain industry-specific knowledge that will prepare you to enter in-demand professions
  • Develop your critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Become an effective communicator and collaborator
  • Advance your information literacy and intercultural knowledge

Learn in Leading-Edge Facilities

Rivier’s Business and Security Studies facilities underwent a complete renovation in 2022. The facility includes collaboration spaces for project-based learning, cybersecurity labs, a technology hub, and office suites.

These modern spaces align with Rivier’s focus on experiential learning; they provide students with the opportunity to learn in environments similar to the real-world offices and labs where they’ll work in their first professional positions. Engaging with new technologies and working collaboratively instills confidence and prepares students for greater success when they enter the workforce.

Get Ready for the World

You will gain valuable, resume-building experience in an internship that matches your career interests and goals. You can participate in study abroad opportunities ranging from faculty-led, week-long study tours to a full semester spent at a university abroad. In addition to international travel, you’ll find global engagement opportunities right here on our campus in Nashua. From diverse speakers and networking opportunities to participate in student organizations such as the Business Student Association, you’ll enjoy a wide range of educational experiences that will broaden your worldview.

A Commitment to Quality

Rivier’s undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Sport Management, Cybersecurity Management, and MBA programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

My favorite part of Rivier is the students. They're smart, they're curious. They take risks, and they grow. They step into internships not sure, and come out of them secure and strong. They are remarkable people to work with.
