COVID-19 Protocols for the RISE Spring 2022 Semester
Please review these protocols and information on the Spring 2022 RISE semester.
University COVID-19 Protocols
The RISE program will follow all Rivier University COVID-19 policies in place for the Spring 2022 semester.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Proof of full vaccination and booster (when eligible) is required for all RISE members who register for in-person courses or participate in on-campus RISE meetings or programs for the Spring 2022 semester. Verification is not required for RISE members taking online courses only and for those not planning to attend RISE in-person meetings or programs.
If you are not yet eligible to receive the booster, please submit your proof of vaccination and follow up with verification of your booster within 30 days of your eligibility. RISE members are asked to submit verification of vaccination and booster (when eligible), or request a medical or religious exemption, by February 15. Submit proof of vaccination using our secure upload form. To request a religious exemption or medical exemption, please submit the exemption form to rise@rivier.edu. Contact the RISE Office at (603) 897-8623 with questions.
Masks and Face Coverings
The CDC has begun using a combination of factors to determine COVID-19 risk areas in the United States and has provided updated guidance for each risk level. Currently, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire is in the “medium” COVID-19 community transmission category. Based on this updated classification, Rivier will no longer require masks effective Saturday, March 5, 2022.
As noted in the CDC guidance, masks remain an effective tool to reduce risk of COVID-19. Masks will still be required on days 6-10 for those who are returning to campus from quarantine or isolation. In addition, members of our community may choose to continue to wear face coverings for a variety of reasons such as personal or family medical concerns or because they live with an unvaccinated household member. We will continue to respect the personal choice of each member of our community.
Daily Health Screen
RISE members are asked to submit a Daily Health Screen before arriving on campus each day. The screen is a brief set of health-related questions. This screen is completed by all University students and employees daily. RISE members will be provided with the online form prior to the start of classes.
RISE members who clear the Daily Health Screen may attend classes in person; those who do not clear the Health Screen may not attend classes in person and will be provided with information on necessary COVID quarantine or isolation guidance. The RISE Office will receive notification for members that do not clear the Health Screen and notify the course facilitator.
Please complete your Daily Health Screen.
Campus Parking and Dining Limitations
Due to increased enrollment in Rivier’s first-year class as well as the Sylvia Trottier Hall construction project, parking on campus is extremely limited. RISE members are asked to vacate their parking space as soon as possible after classes have ended each day to make spaces available for Rivier students. In addition, due to limited space in the Dining Center, we are unable to offer lunch to RISE members during the week. Thank you for understanding these necessary limitations for the Spring 2022 semester.
