Student Conduct

Upholding the student code of conduct is vital role in maintaining a positive and respectful campus environment, promoting student development and accountability, and ensuring a fair and consistent approach to addressing behavioral expectations within the university community.

Whether it involves mediation between students, investigating alleged violations, or implementing disciplinary measures, every action is guided by principles of fairness and due process. Our Community Standards read as follows.

  1. Student Conduct Management: oversees and manages the student conduct process. This involves addressing violations of university policies and standards of behavior, investigating alleged misconduct, and administering disciplinary actions when necessary.
  2. Promotion of Campus Values: upholds and promotes the values and standards of the institution. This includes fostering a community that values integrity, respect, inclusivity, and responsibility among students and staff.
  3. Conflict Resolution: facilitate mediation and conflict resolution processes between students or student groups, aiming to resolve disputes in a constructive and fair manner.
  4. Policy Development and Implementation: collaborate with campus stakeholders to develop and revise policies related to student conduct, ensuring they are clear, fair, and reflective of the institution’s values; oversee the implementation and enforcement of these policies.
  5. Support and Guidance: provide support and guidance to students who are involved in the conduct process, offering resources and assistance to navigate challenges and understand their rights and responsibilities.
  6. Collaboration and Outreach: interface with other campus departments, student organizations, and external partners (such as law enforcement or community organizations) to address broader community issues and enhance campus safety and well-being.
