International Student Advising
You'll receive support from the Office of Global Engagement to ensure your success. Services include comprehensive pre-arrival advising, orientation and continuous guidance in personal, social, cultural, and immigration matters.
We’re here to ensure that you have the support you need, prior to your arrival and during your entire University experience.
You’re Never Alone at Rivier
Our International Student Advisors will serve as your guide as you navigate the immigration process and plan your travel to the United States. We’ll provide support as you search for accommodations, apply for a social security number and driver’s license, file income tax, apply for employment benefits, and travel outside the United States.
We provide consistent immigration updates from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Immigration and Citizenship Services (USCIS), Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the National Association of International Advisors (NAFSA).
Maximize Your Experience
Once you arrive, you’ll find that our campus promotes cultural awareness and global engagement. Cultural programs such as Diwali, Holi, the Moon Festival, and Chinese New Year are among the many events and traditions that are celebrated on campus. The Indian Student Association and the Chinese Student Association are active on-campus student associations which celebrate cultural traditions.
Our advisors will provide support as you build your community and develop your own personal and professional networks on our campus and in the Greater Nashua community. We’ll encourage you to build relationships within the community by participating in a variety of community events and initiatives including the Global Friendship Mentoring program and F-1 Circle Series of helpful topics such as “How to Attend an Interview?”, “Optional Practical Training Workshop,” and more.
