Rivier University Fund
You can also support our students through annual gifts to the Rivier University Fund.
You can create an endowed scholarship and offer ongoing annual support to Rivier students for years to come.
In addition to the Rivier University Fund, endowed scholarships help make a Rivier education affordable for our students. Through the generous support of alumni and friends more than 70 endowed scholarships have been created.
With a gift, pledge, or planned gift of $20,000 or more, you can create a named scholarship endowment. Scholarships are awarded from income generated by the funds’ principal, which remains intact. Our endowed scholarships are awarded according to our endowment investment policy which uses a 4.5% spending formula. Each year, you will receive a statement with the scholarship gifts and investment results.
When creating a new scholarship, staff in our Office of University Advancement and Alumni Relations will work with you to establish a name for the fund and the criteria that is most meaningful to you.
In the summer of her junior year, Rebeca Cruz, Class of 2019, was chosen to participate in a prestigious undergraduate Research Fellowship in Nursing at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. In her senior year, she conducted her senior capstone at Boston Children's Hospital where she worked with some of the best doctors and nurses in the world. A first-generation college student, Rebeca's education was made possible by the Joseph Wozniak '76 Scholarship, which she received in recognition of her leadership qualities and desire to serve others. Joseph and his wife, Claire, proudly established this scholarship to support deserving students like Rebeca each year.
